Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Tuesday is inauguration day. We have some special activities planned. Tuesday is also ES celebration day. If you made all E’s & S’s on your report card, bring a snack & a drink to celebrate on Tuesday.

Mon. 1/19 HOLIDAY – no school

Tues. 1/20 CW: Inauguration activities and ES party HW: Materials & procedure due Friday.

Wed. 1/21 CW: (1) Let the Sun Shine sheet (2) Turn in chp. 8 vocabulary. IF you haven’t finished these yet with over a week to do them & several class opportunities provided, turn them into the basket BY FRIDAY (3) Read lab p. 565 & think about what materials you want to use for your experiment. We’ll talk more about it tomorrow & Friday. HW: (1) Materials & procedures for science fair project are due Friday. (2) We’re doing a lab next week. If you could bring in 50 cents to a dollar to help cover costs…that would be great!

Thurs. 1/22 CW: Begin chp. 12 on energy. Lesson 1 pp. 326-335 – take notes. Get notes if you weren’t here from a reliable teammate. HW: (1) Materials & procedures for science fair project are due tomorrow. (2) If you haven’t competed & turned in your chp. 8 definitions wiht colored pictures, they are due tomorrow – you’ve had several class times in the last two weeks to work on them (3) We’re doing a lab next week. If you could bring in 50 cents to a dollar to help cover costs…that would be great! THANK YOU to those who have donated!

Fri. 1/23 CW: (1) Check materials & procedures for science fair experiment & answer questions students have regarding experiment  (2) Bill Nye DVD on energy – potential & kinetic  (3)  Energy conversions pp. 336-339 read & discuss.  (4) Work on workbook pp. 94-98  HW: If you could bring in 50 cents to a dollar to help cover costs…that would be great! THANK YOU to those who have donated!  (2) Data Charts, Results, & Conclusion are due next Friday.
