February 2 – 6

Interims come home this week. Students who have been absent due to illness have 1 day for each excused day of absence to make up work. Long term projects that have been assigned such as Science Fair Projects are still due on the original assigned due date.

Science 2/2 – 2/6

Mon. 2/2 CW: (1) Check wb pp. 94-99. There will be a quiz tomorrow on these two lessons plus the 6 simple machines. (2) Bill Nye DVD on Simple Machines (3) Power Point on Simple Machines HW: (1) Project due Thurs. (2) definitions & colored pictures chp. 12 due Friday.

Tues. 2/3 CW: (1) quiz over lessons 1 & 2 (2) complete with lab group worksheet on energy conversions (3) read with lab group lesson 3 on Energy Conservation in Chp. 12 (4) work on definitions – be sure to include the 6 types of energy with their definitions & a colored picture HW: (1) Project due Thurs. (2) definitions & colored pictures chp. 12 – be sure to include the 6 types of energy with their definitions & a colored picture due Friday.

Wed. 2/4 Interims, Dad’s Day Letter, & Families First Letter were sent home today CW: (1) Lesson 4 renewable & non renewable resources – Brainpop on resources, nuclear power, and how we use resources (2) workbook pages in lab groups for lesson 4 (3) vocab. review sheet chp. 12 HW: (1) Science Projects due tomorrow (2) definitions & colored pictures chp. 12 – be sure to include the 6 types of energy with their definitions & a colored picture due Friday. (3) Test over chp. 12 is Monday

Thurs. 2/5 CW: (1) Present science fair projects – SCIENCE FAIR VIEWING IS TUESDAY NIGHT 5-6 PM IN CAFETERIA – reminder notice sent home today. HW: (1) definitions & colored pictures chp. 12 – be sure to include the 6 types of energy with their definitions & a colored picture due tomorrow. (2) Test over chp. 12 is Monday (3) Science Fair Viewing is Tues. night

Fri. 2/6 CW: (1) Complete science fair project presentations (2) review for Monday’s test  – I made and handed out a study guide which will cover all material on Monday’s test HW: Chp 12 test is Monday – study  BRING YOUR DEFINITIONS & COMPLETED STUDY GUIDE TO CLASS!!
